The petitioner proposes to continue his research into the molecular and pathological processes underlying pancreatic cancer development to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The endeavor aims to address high mortality rates in oncology by facilitating more effective medical interventions and precision medicine.

The petitioner proposes to characterize the molecular mechanisms by which lipids contribute to disease progression in metabolic diseases and medical emergencies. His work utilizes cell, animal, and biochemical models to uncover how lipids interact with cellular proteins, disrupt lipid homeostasis, and impair immune responses to establish new therapeutic targets.

The petitioner proposes to continue research on the development of state-of-the-art pipelines, algorithms, and systems to predict disease-specific biomarkers and drug effects. His work involves studying the viral microbiome, performing single-cell and epigenetic analyses of gastrointestinal tissue, and investigating noncoding RNAs related to COVID-19, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver fibrosis.

The petitioner proposes to continue research characterizing the interactions between infectious diseases, such as COVID-19 and tuberculosis, and endocrinopathies like diabetes.
